Hey everyone! 👋
I got tired of constantly having to manually adjust my computer volume whenever background noise changed (like traffic outside, a fan, or a quiet room), so I built a lightweight Python tool to automate it.
How it works:
Real-time Monitoring: Continuously samples ambient audio through the default microphone.
Smart Smoothing: Uses RMS/decibel calculations with a smoothing buffer to prevent sudden, erratic volume jumps.
Safe Bounds: Keeps the master volume within a predefined optimal range so it never mutes or blasts your ears.
It's fully open-source, easy to set up, and documented in the repository.
Check it out, let me know what you think, and leave a ⭐ on GitHub if you find it useful!
