I recently designed a menu guide website in WordPress, and I learned a lot about what makes a simple content site actually work. Here is what I did.

Keep the layout clean

A menu website should answer the question in seconds. I kept the homepage simple: drink name, price, calories, and a clear link to the full guide. No pop-ups, no clutter.

Mobile first

Most visitors come from phones, so I tested every page on mobile first. Big readable text, fast-loading images, and buttons that are easy to tap.

One page, one topic

Each drink got its own page — Blondie, Sweet & Salty, Ocean Breeze — with its own price, calories, caffeine, and a sugar-free option. That helped Google understand what each page is about.

SEO basics that mattered

I used clear titles with the drink name and year, added a short FAQ on every page, and linked related drinks to each other. No keyword stuffing, just honest, useful content.

Real numbers only

Every price and calorie figure on the site comes from my own research, not copied from other guides. That builds trust with readers and with Google.

If you are building a small content site in WordPress, start simple, focus on one topic, and make every page genuinely useful. What would you add to a menu website?
