One sentence before bed on Friday: "Research the competitors for this theme and draft the launch page structure by morning."
Saturday, I woke up to a research memo and a page outline. Not a chat transcript — finished work, with sources. That's the difference I've been trying to explain to people: Muse isn't a chatbot you trade messages with. It's Meta's personal AI agent, and it works on a computer of its own while you're not looking.
If you want to try the same setup, do this first — before any other setting:
Step 0 (2 minutes): after signing up, enter an invite code within 48 hours. You and the person who shared it both get 1 billion tokens. Miss the window and the redeem field disappears for that account. My code:
UP711Q
(Settings → Redeem token in the app; on web, Settings → General → Usage → Redeem invite code.)
Three first jobs that actually show what it does
Most people sign up, ask one question, and close the tab. Hand it a goal instead. These three take about three minutes to paste:
- "Research recent developments on [your topic] with 5 sources, and summarize them into a one-page memo."
- "By tomorrow morning, research 3 competitors for [your side project] and build a price/feature comparison table."
- "Every morning at 8, check [what you're tracking] and only report when something changed."
The third one is the quiet winner. An agent that only speaks when something changed is an agent you keep.
What 1 billion tokens means in practice
Tokens are the unit of work. The paid Power plan ($20/month) is reported at 500M tokens a week, so the bonus is roughly two weeks of that — enough to run several weekend projects end to end. Bonus tokens don't expire.
The ongoing argument
A few weeks ago I asked this community what you'd automate if tokens were free, and the answers were better than my own list — evidence collection, status reconciliation, watchers with judgment. I'm still working through them.
So, same question from the other side: what's the first goal (not question) you'd hand an agent overnight? I'll take the best one and actually run it this weekend, then report back with the run record.
