You update a product price in Magento Admin, but the storefront still shows the old value. In Index Management, the Product Price indexer is marked as Processing. Before you reset it, find out whether a job is still running or a previous run failed.
1. Check the indexer status and mode
From the Magento root, run:
bin/magento indexer:status catalog_product_price bin/magento indexer:show-mode catalog_product_price If a reindex is still active, check its progress before starting another run.
2. Check cron history for scheduled indexing
If the indexer uses Update by Schedule, look at recent indexing jobs in cron_schedule. Check whether the relevant job completed, failed, or missed its scheduled run. Use the job timestamps to narrow down your log search.
3. Read the logs before retrying
Look for the first error around the time of the run. A database lock timeout or a PHP memory error gives you a specific issue to investigate before retrying.
4. Reset only the affected indexer if needed
If no reindex is active, you've addressed any error you found, and the state is still stuck, reset the affected indexer. The reset marks the index as out of date. After the next reindex, confirm that the indexer recovered and that the storefront shows the expected price.
