Rocky Linux has launched Testrarc, a centralized open web platform for coordinating release testing and tracking build results across diverse hardware architectures and environments.
Replacing Mattermost Playbooks, Testrarc oversees testing from initial builds to release candidates across x86_64, aarch64, riscv64, ppc64le, and s390x, featuring public test records and community submission tools.
Since 2022, the Rocky Linux community has been organizing testing through Mattermost Playbooks. As testing expanded to more types of computers and environments, Testrarc was created to centralize the process in one place.
The platform tracks tests throughout the development of a release, from early betas to near-release builds. Tests are run on real computers, virtual machines, and other remote infrastructure. Each entry shows whether the test passed, failed, or was partially completed, as well as who participated and in what environment.
The results are available to everyone without logging in. To submit new results, you need a Rocky Linux account so that contributions are linked to the people who did the testing.

A filter named community_testable helps volunteers find tests that don't require special equipment or complex setups. So even those using Rocky Linux on a regular computer or in a virtual machine can help.
Testrarc is already available at https://testrarc.rockylinux.org/app/home. It includes test results for the upcoming Rocky Linux 10.3 and 9.9 test releases, which are being tested before their stable releases.
