Whenever someone thinks about entering a technology-based field, they eventually hear the same warning:

"If you get into this industry, you need to keep yourself updated every single day!"

And that's absolutely true, especially for computer science students and developers.

But here's the question:

🤔 How often can you realistically keep yourself updated?

I think that over the past ten years, keeping up with technological advancements has become harder and harder. And nowadays, it sometimes feels almost impossible.

New technologies, frameworks, tools, and ideas emerge constantly. Just when you think you've caught up, there's something new waiting around the corner.

But I've rarely heard anyone discuss this issue from the inside of the industry — from the perspective of people who actually work in technology every day.

💭 A personal thought

Personally, I've decided to pursue a master's degree in AI Engineering, with the goal of getting into one of the top universities.

I'm not sure whether this is the most effective choice, but somehow, it makes me feel more comfortable. Maybe it's because having a big academic goal keeps my mind occupied and gives me something meaningful to work towards.

Still, I wonder if this is really the right way to deal with the constant pressure of keeping up with technology.

💬 What's your strategy?

I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts:

  • How do you deal with the constantly changing technology landscape?
  • How do you decide what to learn and what to ignore?
  • Do you feel the same pressure to keep yourself updated?
  • And most importantly, what's your plan to overcome this feeling?

I'd love to hear your experiences and opinions. Let's discuss it!
